This is a new project I ended up doing because my solar tracker was not weatherproof, much less waterproof. I salvaged 3 large 12V sealed lead acid(SLA) batteries rated at 35Ah and thought they would be perfect for this project.

I will only cover this project briefly as I already made an Instructable on it, which has much more detailed information on the entire process.
I essentially found and reinforced an old cabinet to hold all the weight of the batteries, as I had 3 which each weighed probably about 30-40lbs. I bought a commercial solar charger and cheap modified square wave inverter (I'm too cheap for the fancy pure sine wave inverters even though I really wanted one).
The location of the solar panel is far from perfect, but I didn't have a great way of running wire to the powerwall while still being able to charge my devices from it.

It ended up working very well, and I am now able to charge all my devices and even laptop from solar energy solely!
